Awards Nomination Pupil Megan Baxter

Movilla High School pupil Miss Megan Baxter was very highly nominated by the Daily Mirror Hero of Youth Awards. Megan was nominated by the chairman of the charity Mr Robert McCartney. His nomination was sent with great foundation. Megan is a tremendous role model to any young person who would have the desire to volunteer and has done an amazing amount of work for Beyond the Battlefield and the veterans in our province.

Megan got through to the final 5 in the Awards out of literally thousands of young people. Unfortunately Megan did not make it to the Awards Evening as the judges deliberated greatly between Megan and the young person who won. These awards celebrate the spirit and achievement of young people and Megan certainly has that spirit as a volunteer. She has given so much of her time and enthusiasm to our charity. She exceeded the requirements and expectations of the award. Megan has made a remarkable contribution to our community with not just our veterans but has recently brought on board many other young people to volunteer for bag packs and shopping centre collection etc.

Megan is a winner in our eyes I felt, that on behalf of the Charity we needed to record this with you.
