Principal's Welcome
Welcome to our website. I hope it gives you an overview of our school and captures the unique ethos and culture that makes the Movilla community a wonderful place to belong and learn.​
Movilla High School was founded as a co-educational, all-ability secondary school in 1932 and we sit proudly at the heart of our local Newtownards community. We educate pupils from Year 8 to Year 12 and pride ourselves on our diversity and inclusivity.

We expect all our pupils to enjoy school, be ambitious and become selfless young adults ready to take their place in society. Our rich, relevant and broad curriculum provides a future pathway for every pupil and we are very proud of the progress achieved by all our learners.

Our staff is a highly committed, hard-working team of professionals, supporting every pupil to reach their full potential academically, pastorally and in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We celebrate effort and success, and we value every pupil as an individual.

Our relationship with our parents, feeder primary schools, community partners, colleges and local businesses is strong, and helps us to develop every pupil with a holistic approach.
